Synopsis[]
After the city gets attacked by one of Duckman's over-inflated dolls, the city decides to have an emergency drill where all the residents go underground until it would be safe to come out. Trivia[]
- Episode Title Reference: The film Apocalypse Now.
- Writer/producer Michael Markowitz notes: "There was a scene in "Apocalypse Not" that was, sadly, never recorded. When Bernice makes her phone call, the script called for her to be accidentally connected to... Beavis & Butthead! However, this was at the time that B&B were having some PR problems concerning fire, and the episode contained a lot of fire...so the guest appearance ultimately fell through."
- At the town meeting, when Duckman is listening to headphones, the song he's playing is "We Are There" from "America the Beautiful".
- During the scene of Duckman shopping at Orifice Depot, the broadcast version plays the same track that is heard in the Utopian version Duckman's house in the episode "Gripes of Wrath". This was changed on the DVD version for some reason.
- A similar change was made in a previous episode "Married Alive", where the Utopian music was changed to the same track they used here.
- Duckman's hedonistic binge through the emptied city was originally accompanied by the song "Old Time Rock and Roll" by Bob Seger. This was changed to generic music in the DVD release.
