Barry Brittle is a slimy businessman who was once a creative V.P. at a greeting card company.
He is a one-time character in Duckman: Private Dick/Family Man, only having a primary role in the season 2 episode "Research and Destroy".
Character[]
Barry Brittle heard Ajax's poetry and offered him a job at a greeting card company. However, he only cared about the bottom line and had no artistic integrity, so he wouldn't allow Ajax to write in his own way.
He relied entirely on graphs created by data from focus groups in his suggestions for Ajax's poems. When Ajax tells him he changed his mind about the job, Barry threatens him, telling him his family will be bankrupt if he leaves. Eventually, Duckman accidentally destroys his focus group data collecting supercomputer, resulting in Ajax's firing, and Barry vowing never to try anything new or creative ever again.
When first speaking with Duckman, Barry admits that he "used the gay label as an accessory" to earn himself affirmative action promotions.
