After being rejected by his father once again, Ajax wanders aimlessly in the city before being approached by two hill-billy aliens, Tommy and Billy who believe Ajax is the "Wise One" they seek and take him back to their home planet, Betamax.

It's a backwards and confusing planet in desperate need of guidance. As goes the saying "in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king", Ajax's words and ideas entrance the Betamaxians and they begin to revere him as their saviour.

Meanwhile, the family notices Ajax is missing and force Duckman to find him. While searching his room for clues, he realizes he may have missed out on Ajax's entire life when he sees what Ajax does in his spare time, like making cheese sculptures. He starts seeing that he let Ajax grow up without trying to find out more about him when he scours the locations Ajax frequents, like a family park and a museum with a statue dedicated to the concept of families.

Back on planet Betamax, at the behest of the aliens, Ajax lends them a video tape of Duckman his father lent him at the beginning, which sends the planet into a downward spiral of violence, depravity and chaos, and when the aliens' society collapses into rebellion, Tommy and Billy are forced to sneak Ajax back to Earth where he reunites with his family.

  • Howard Morris, who plays the male aliens, is better known as Ernest T. Bass, a character he played on The Andy Griffith Show.
  • The "small role" in which Lisa Kudrow plays is the female aliens.
  • Episode Title References: The titles from the show "Friends", which Kudrow was a main cast member on. The show's episodes all had titles beginning with "The one with..." for example, "The One With the Free Porn."
  • Ajax's storyline draws parallels from the life of Christ, such as;
    • Jesus was the son of God, Ajax is the son of "Dod".
    • Ajax's disciples turning on him.
    • When the Betamaxians accidently drop Ajax on the golf course he says "It's okay, you didn't know what you were doing." Similar to Luke 23:34 when Jesus says "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do."
